This past week I had to do a “Personal Branding” assignment for Advertising. Rather than just talk about myself, I decided to make myself into a clothing brand: KG.
The logo is a metaphor for how as a society we put power on a pedestal , and think its unattainable – but it is. Also, if you flip it sideways: it says KG. I know, right.
I made 5 shirts displaying the 5 adjectives of my brand: witty, spontaneous, engaging, influential and fresh. On the back of them were KG’s values, brand differentiation, vision and promise. I also created a lookbook to showcase the brand to potential investors.
As you will see from the presentation, I took inspiration from a quote I have mentioned on here before from the homie Theophilus London.
“The clothes don’t make the man, it’s the man that makes the clothes.”
